Frequently asked questions
Executive coaching focuses on performance, leadership development, and professional growth. It supports high-performing individuals in areas such as decision-making, communication, leadership effectiveness, and aligning career goals with personal values. Executive coaching is not a clinical service, does not involve diagnosis, and is not covered by insurance.
Counseling focuses on emotional health and psychological well-being. It supports individuals navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, trauma, or life transitions. Counseling is a clinical service, may involve a mental health diagnosis, and can be eligible for insurance reimbursement depending on coverage.
While there may be some overlap in tools used, the purpose, scope, and billing structure are distinct. At Aasha Human Connections, clients are clearly guided into either executive coaching or counseling based on their needs, goals, and eligibility. Each session blends psychology, neuroscience, and strategy, offering an integrated path toward clarity and resilience.

Yes. Counseling sessions are available for clients located in Michigan, offered in person and virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.
Executive coaching is offered virtually worldwide, providing flexible access for professionals, leaders, and teams regardless of location.
Counseling services are regulated at the state level. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Michigan, counseling services can only be provided to clients who are physically located in Michigan at the time of the session.
This ensures care is delivered ethically, legally, and in alignment with state licensing and professional standards.
Executive coaching, by contrast, is not a clinical or licensed mental health service and can therefore be offered virtually to clients worldwide.
If you’re unsure which service is appropriate for your location or needs, we’re happy to help clarify during an initial consultation.
A neuro-informed approach is grounded in neuroscience and helps clients understand how the brain and nervous system respond to stress, safety, and connection. By working with the body’s natural regulation systems, clients can improve emotional regulation, focus, decision-making, and communication.
This approach is especially effective for leaders and professionals in high-pressure environments who want to sustain performance, build resilience, and enhance well-being, without pushing themselves into burnout.
The first step is a 15-minute complimentary consultation call. This brief conversation allows us to understand your goals, answer initial questions, and determine whether executive coaching or counseling is the right fit for you.
There’s no pressure or obligation, just a clear, supportive first step to explore how we can work together.
